On September 17, 2025, the third standing committee of the eighth session of the Dust Removal Professional Committee of the China Environmental Protection Industry Association was successfully held in Jiuquan, Gansu. Li Lei, Vice President of the China Environmental Protection Industry Association, and Li Chengfeng, Deputy Secretary General, attended the meeting. More than 80 members of the Standing Committee of the Dust Removal Special Committee, representatives of standing committee units, experts, and others participated. The meeting was chaired by Liu Xuejun, Secretary General of the Dust Removal Special Committee.
Vice President Li Lei warmly congratulated the convening of the conference and the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the original electrostatic precipitator committee, conveying the latest spirit and requirements of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the association on air pollution control, emphasizing that the dust removal industry should deeply grasp the "PM2.5 The main focus is on the continuous decline of concentration, vigorously promoting the reduction of nitrogen oxides and volatile organic compounds, and coordinating the control of ozone pollution. The core requirement is to integrate dust removal work into the national strategic layout of "deepening the battle to defend the blue sky". Firstly, we need to seek driving force from technological innovation; secondly, we need to seek benefits from quality services; thirdly, we need to seek guidance from standards and norms; fourthly, we need space for integrated development; fifthly, we need opportunities for international cooperation. At the same time, it is pointed out that in the face of the new situation, the work of the special committee should further strengthen its work in five aspects: policy transmission, catalytic technology innovation, stabilizing industry development, linking enterprise services, and incubating talent cultivation.
Liu Xuejun, Secretary General of the Dust Removal Special Committee, reported on the completion of the committee's work in the first half of 2025 and its work plan for the second half of the year; Hosted discussions on proposals such as "participating in the 24th China International Environmental Protection Exhibition to be held in Beijing in April 2026", "2026 Industrial Smoke Control and Greenhouse Gas Emission Reduction Technology Seminar", and "proposed adjustments and additions to the Standing Committee of the Special Committee". Yao Qun, Chairman of the Dust Removal Committee, presided over a discussion on the proposal to compile "100 Classic Applications of Pollution Reduction and Carbon Reduction Dust Removal Technologies".
The meeting invited Yang Zhimin, an environmental protection expert from Jiuquan Iron and Steel, to introduce the current status of atmospheric environmental protection throughout the entire process of Jiuquan Iron and Steel and the application of environmental protection technologies, which sparked lively interaction among the attending representatives and provided reference for cross enterprise technology reference.
The attendees focused on the current situation of the dust removal industry and the operation of enterprises, actively discussed and exchanged ideas on how to strengthen the role of the special committee to promote the healthy development of the industry, the key work to be carried out by the special committee in 2026, the "15th Five Year Plan" of the special committee, and issues of common concern for industry development.
The convening of this meeting not only sets a "roadmap" for the work of the dust removal committee in the second half of the year, but also consolidates the consensus of the dust removal industry's transformation towards "collaborative pollution reduction and carbon reduction".
